Hi, I’m Claire, the owner, designer, and maker behind Mollie Brown—lovingly named after my Grandma. I personally draw, design, create, and manage every aspect of my business right here in Liverpool. I grew up in Edinburgh before moving to Liverpool to study Fashion and Textile Design at Liverpool John Moores University. It was during my third year at university that I met my now husband, and I have happily called Liverpool home ever since!

Mollie Brown started as a fashion label, but since having my son in 2020 I have developed and expanded my jewellery range, and this is currently my primary focus. This has been a natural development in my design process as it has allowed me to work from home whilst looking after my son.

I’m a lover of colour, pattern, paintings, plants and nature, I seek inspiration from the world around me, from the people I encounter to the buildings and nature that surround me. I love the bustle of the city and being able to visit art galleries and local exhibitions but I also love to seek out the pockets of nature and calm found in my local parks and gardens, along with weekend trips to one of the many beautiful beaches that surround Liverpool.

My jewellery pieces are made from a mix of materials from laser cut wooden shapes painted in colours and patterns to acetate and brass. I love creating each little piece, and I hope you love them too.

I still make the odd item of clothing and accessory and currently have a beautiful selection of African fabric print tote bags, alongside some lovely summer kimonos and a few tops.

Another love of mine is fashion illustration and painting, so I have a few painted fashion portraits available to buy as A4 prints.

Thanks for visiting Mollie Brown and I hope you enjoy browsing my creations!
